(stats taken from DraftKings Sportsbook’s Stats Hub)
Victor Wembanyama 40+ Points + Rebounds (-125): I guess it’s worth noting that Wembanyama grabbed 17 rebounds in Wednesday’s Game 2 loss, yet still came up just short of hitting this prop. On the other hand, the former first-overall pick is averaging 25.5 points and 14.2 rebounds per 36 so far in the postseason — and he’s been playing way more than 36 minutes in this series. Look no further than Game 1’s 41-point, 24-rebound double-double. His ceiling is just so, so high. Literally and figuratively. There’s healthy concerns that are likely playing into the popularity of this prop, as well. De’Aaron Fox has missed the first two games against the Thunder, now Dylan Harper joins him as questionable on the injury report for Game 3. During the regular season, Wemby owned a massive 33.1% usage rate with Harper off the floor. Keep that in mind.
Jared McCain 12+ Points (+146): Speaking of injuries, Jalen Williams is reportedly “unlikely” to play in tonight’s contest after suffering a hamstring ailment in Game 2 — one that limited him to just 7.3 minutes of work. In his stead, Jared McCain saw a lot more minutes and took a lot more shots. It was Cason Wallace who technically started the second-half in Williams’ place, but McCain was on the floor within three minutes of game action. He’d finish with 12 points on 14 field goal attempts. He also posted a 24.1% usage rate, which ranked second to only Shai-Gilgeous Alexander among Thunder players who logged at least double-digit minutes on Wednesday evening. I can see why some people are even doing a points ladder with McCain in this spot. If Williams gets ruled out, his value and role skyrockets.
Victor Wembanyama First Point Scorer (+275): Here’s what I’ll say about this prop. First and foremost, I get it. Wembanyama has scored the first point in a whopping 24.2% of the games he’s started in 2025-26, which is an exceedingly high mark. His presence at the tip-off also usually secures the Spurs the opening offensive possession, which is a massive advantage when handicapping this market. That said, he’s not hit this prop in Game 1 of Game 2. This is a very random betting market, and taking the favorite with odds below +300 seems like a mismanagement of bankroll. Could Wemby score first? Of course. But let’s not forget it was Lu Dort who made the first shot in Game 2. How’s that for random?
Taking three of the most-bet player props individually is always an option, but why not roll them into a same game parlay and get in on all the action at once? It’s a fun way to tie everything together — feel free to tag along.
