Sean Barnard details his top Anthony Edwards prop bets for tonight’s Game 6 between the Minnesota Timberwolves and San Antonio Spurs.
Anthony Edwards and the Minnesota Timberwolves will be looking to extend their season Friday night after falling into a 3-2 series hole at the hands of the San Antonio Spurs. Minnesota has reached the Western Conference Finals in back-to-back seasons but is now one loss away from breaking that streak. Injuries have been a factor throughout this postseason, and the Spurs have proven ready to be included in the true championship-contender conversation.
The Spurs are 5.5-point favorites with -218 moneyline odds for Game 6 on DraftKings Sportsbook. The Timberwolves are +180 underdogs, with the game total set at 218.5 points.

With the stage set, here are my favorite Edwards prop bets ahead of the Friday night matchup.
The shot-blocking presence of Victor Wembanyama changes the Timberwolves’ offensive approach. Minnesota started the series stubbornly, electing not to make any changes to their game plan and to attack the rim as if Wembanyama were any other big man. The Spurs’ star responded by blocking 12 shots in Game 1. Since this point, the Timberwolves have changed their tune, with a clearer focus on pushing the tempo to attack before San Antonio gets set in the half court and capitalizing from beyond the three-point line.
Across the regular season, Edwards knocked down 3.4 triples per game at a 39.9% clip. He drilled more than 2.5 threes in 40 of his 61 outings.
Since the playoffs started, Edwards has shot an uncharacteristic 32.1% from the perimeter for just two threes per game. Still, he has drained at least three treys in nine of Minnesota’s postseason games.
Getting an additional day off ahead of Friday’s matchup is a big deal for Edwards, who’s coming off a knee injury against the Nuggets. He’s hit three triples in two of his last three games and, with Wembanyama’s shot-blocking presence in mind, should follow suit in Game 6.
There have been some impressive efforts from several members of the supporting cast, especially as Edwards navigated his knee issues. But the Timberwolves will still only go as far as their star takes them, and the 24-year-old will be ready for the challenge.
While he is averaging just 21.3 points per game in the postseason, much of that can be attributed to knee issues. Edwards was limited to 20 points in the previous loss, but scored 32-plus in Games 3 and 4. He has tallied over 26.5 points in three of the nine playoff games, while battling a minutes limit and some visible soreness.
With its season on the line, expect Minnesota to give free rein to its star to hoist as many shots as it takes, and for Edwards to get a full workload on the court Friday night. He has played 39 or more minutes in three straight games, and the additional day off will only help this outlook.
Edwards scored over 26.5 points in 34 games in the regular season, including a season-high 55 points against this same Spurs team. Back the Timberwolves star to record over 26.5 points in the win-or-go-home matchup. The +161 odds on DraftKings Sportsbook of him scoring 30-plus points also offers strong value.
