Kucherov has cleared this total in 4-of-6 six games this series, with 14 combined shots on goal and 27 shot attempts across just his past two outings. He has averaged 6.0 shots on goal and 9.7 shot attempts at home this series, and I’d expect him to be aggressive offensively in front of the home crowd in a Game 7. Among all postseason skaters, Kucherov ranks seventh in shots per 60 and first in shot attempts per 60. Tampa Bay has simply turned up the dial offensively over the last two games, totaling 73 shots on goal.
This series should benefit Makar offensively, considering the Wild were amongst the worst teams in preventing shots on goal during the regular season and have continued that trend in the postseason thus far. Minnesota has allowed the second-most shots per game to opposing defensemen so far this postseason, and it let Miro Heiskanen get pucks on the net consistently in the first round. Makar has been relatively quiet, clearing this line twice in four games in the first round, but it’s worth noting that Los Angeles allowed the seventh-fewest shots per game to opposing defensemen during the regular season. This is a great matchup for Makar, and I’ll take a bounce-back game at plus odds.
