Ryan Wohl gives his best bet for Abdul Rakhman Yakhyaev vs. Julius Walker at the UFC’s event in Baku, Azerbaijan.
Two Light Heavyweight prospects, Abdul Rakhman Yakhyaev and Julius Walker, are facing each other on the prelims of today’s UFC Fight Night. The Prelims begin at 9:00 a.m. ET on Paramount+ for this event. Yakhyaev, 25, has a perfect 9-0 undefeated record with eight finishes. Walker is 25 years old and has a record of 7-2 in his career with four knockouts and two submissions.
Check out my best bet for Abdul Rakhman Yakhyaev vs. Julius Walker at UFC Baku.
Yakhyaev earned a UFC contract on Dan White’s Contender Series in August 2025. Since he has begun his UFC career 2-0 with two first-round submissions. Yakhyaev is a versatile fighter with five submissions and three knockouts in his career. He has scored five straight first-round finishes and has only been past the first round twice in his career.
Walker is coming off a knockout loss to Dustin Jacoby in February and is 1-2 in his last three contests. His lone UFC victory came against Rafael Cerqueira in August 2025. Before entering the UFC in 2025, Walker began his MMA career 6-0 with six finishes. On paper, both fighters have the same standing reach (78″) while Waljer is slightly taller (6’4″ vs. 6’2″).
On DraftKings Sportsbook, Yakhyaev is a massive -600 favorite with Walker being the underdog at +440. This fight is -550 to not go the distance and +350 to last the scheduled 15 minutes. Yakhyaev is +120 to score a submission and +175 to win by knockout. Because of Yakhyaev’s pace and finishing ability, it will likely be too much for Walker to handle. Since his last five wins have come in the first round and seven of his nine wins have come in the first round, I’m taking Yakhyaev to win in Round 1 at -115.
