Blake Krass shares his top fantasy baseball Pick6 picks and plays for the Friday MLB slate. Check ’em out here!
The MLB season is humming along. There are far more ways to get involved in the action than just via traditional betting. One of the more unique features on DraftKings this year is Pick6 Fantasy Baseball!
Here are my top Pick6 plays for today’s MLB slate.

There is a great promo pick on DraftKings Pick6 for today’s MLB slate. This pick requires three-time AL MVP Mike Trout to record one total base to cash this pick, rather than 1.5 total bases. Injury issues have obviously massively derailed the career of a player who many thought would go down as one of the best of all time. However, this has been the best start to a season for Trout in a while. His .999 OPS is sixth-best in Major League Baseball this season. That figure would match his OPS in 2022, the last time that he won a Silver Slugger award. It has been great watching Mike Trout crush the baseball again, and he should continue to do so tonight against the Mets. Christian Scott is starting for New York. He only has one MLB appearance this season, where he pitched just 1.1 innings and gave up a run. Trout should crush Scott if he has the chance. However, it is mostly going to be a bullpen game for the Mets. New York has a bullpen ERA over 4.00 and should struggle against Trout. Trout has at least one hit in eight of his past nine games and should keep it going here.

It has not been the hottest of starts to this season for Ketel Marte, but he is starting to find his groove. After a really poor first few weeks, he has found his level. In his past 13 games, he is batting .273 with a .777 OPS. Marte should be able to keep building up his numbers against Colin Rea and the Cubs. Colin Rea has a 4.61 ERA this season and just gave up six runs last time out against the Dodgers. Marte has crushed Rea in the past, as well. In six career at-bats against Rea, Marte is 4-for-6 with two home runs and a double. That comes out to a career OPS of 2.500 against the Cubs’ right-hander. Rea has allowed an opponent OPS of .786 against left-handed batters throughout his career. Marte should set up on that side of the plate and generate some offense against Rea and the Cubs.

Ozzie Albies is off to a blistering start to this season. He is batting .323 with a .908 OPS. Those marks rank 10th and 22nd, respectively, in MLB. Both of those figures would also be career-highs for Albies if sustained all season. During the Braves’ most recent three-game series in Detroit, Albies hit two home runs, scored four runs and drove in four runs. Albies went over 2.5 hits + runs + RBIs in every game of that series. He should be able to keep that going in the hitter-friendly confines of Coors Field. Jose Quintana has a 4.91 ERA this season, and the Dodgers scored six runs against him in his one start at Coors Field. Albies has also crushed Quintana in the past. In 19 career at-bats against Quintana, Albies has a 1.553 OPS. The entire Braves lineup has been great this season, and they should hit Quintana hard. That will give Ozzie Albies plenty of chances to generate some runs and get over this number.
Pick6 is a peer-to-peer fantasy variant where you build a lineup (your “Pick Set”) of 2+ players and select whether or not you believe each will outperform their listed stat projection. Enter your Pick Set in Pick6 contests to compete against other users. Get enough picks correct and win a share of cash prizes.
Create a Pick Set by choosing 2+ players from the same sport and Pick Group (a set of picks available from a group of competitions). For each player, simply select if you think they’ll have more or less than their listed stat projection. In each Pick Set, you can not pick the same player twice, and you must pick players from at least two different teams.
Once you finalize your Pick Set, choose your entry fee amount. Your entries will be automatically distributed into available contests, subject to your confirmation.
When the games go live, use the My Picks tab to follow your picks in real time to track how your players are performing against their projections and how they stack up against other users.
Make enough correct picks and win a share of the contests’ guaranteed prizes. Any prizes won will be credited to your DraftKings account after contests are finalized.
