Garion Thorne dives into tonight’s four-game MLB DFS slate to find three value options for your DraftKings lineups.
There’s a teeny tiny four-game MLB DFS slate on DraftKings tonight, and it all gets going at 6:40 p.m. ET in Miami.
Fewer contests mean fewer options to fill out your lineups. How can you save some salary and still get production on Thursday evening? Allow me to assist. Here are my top value picks for tonight’s action on the diamond.

If Luis Severino was one of those decision flow charts, it would only have one question: Is he pitching at Sutter Health Park? If the answer is yes, don’t start him. If the answer is no, then stream away. Severino and the A’s will finish up their series with the Angels in Los Angeles on Thursday. Despite a gargantuan 14.8% walk rate within the split, Severino has been amazing away from Sacramento, as per usual, pitching to a 3.56 ERA and a 3.60 FIP in six outings. The key difference? The home run ball. Severino has surrendered just one of the seven he’s given up in 2026 in front of an away crowd. He really does just hate that Triple-A stadium. He’s been pretty honest about the whole thing.
Let’s not downplay the Angels element of this, either. There might not be a better matchup at the moment. In May, Los Angeles is hitting .203 as a team with AL-lows in wOBA (.274) and wRC+ (70). The club’s 26.3% strikeout rate in the month is also the highest mark in MLB. So tantalizing.
It appears that the Rockies will be utilizing a bullpen game on Thursday night, so give me the switch-hitting Perdomo at his lowest price in weeks. Does he deserve the discount? Maybe a little. Perdomo’s struggled on the heels of a breakout 20/20 campaign in 2025, hitting .224 with a 99 wRC+ over his first 190 plate appearances of the season. Still, he’s got six hits in his last six games; he’s got the ability to swipe a bag; and he’s batting third in the Diamondbacks’ lineup behind Ketel Marte ($4,800) and Corbin Carroll ($5,400). If his .248 BABIP starts to normalize anytime soon, he’ll be back in the good graces of the fantasy baseball community. Why not tonight?
There are a couple Jays’ hitters with great career numbers against Carlos Rodon ($7,700). Heck, Vladimir Guerrero Jr. ($4,700) is 11-for-18 with a pair of home runs. However, let’s zero in on a guy who has never seen Rodon in his life. Okamoto’s cooled down the past week, but the 29-year-old rookie has been quite good since finding his footing in MLB mid-way through April, slashing .245/.336/.509 with a 136 wRC+ in his last 122 plate appearances. This is also an opposite-hand matchup for Okamoto, a situation where he thrived in Japan. Rodon’s looked rusty since he’s returned from the IL, giving up six runs in eight innings and struggling with his command. I think Okamoto can take advantage.
