Blake Krass shares his top fantasy baseball Pick6 picks and plays for the Thursday slate. Check ’em out here!
The MLB season is rolling along. There are far more ways to get involved in the action than just via traditional betting. One of the more unique features on DraftKings this year is Pick6 Fantasy Baseball!
Here are my top Pick6 plays for today’s MLB slate.

Daulton Varsho should be in for a big game tonight against the Rangers. Varsho is having a solid season, batting .266 with a .778 OPS. He had a brief stint on the IL, but has been excellent since coming back. In the four games since his return, he has batted .389 with a 1.254 OPS. He has hit home runs in two of those four games since returning from the IL. Varsho has a favorable matchup against Mackenzie Gore in this game. Gore has a 4.07 ERA and a 1.30 WHIP this season. He has struggled against fellow lefties this season, allowing a .278 batting average and a .784 OPS to left-handers. Varsho should keep his hot streak going and record more than 1.5 total bases in this game.

Connelly Early is taking the mound for the Red Sox in the series opener at Fenway against the Yankees. The Yankees are already 15.5 games ahead of the Red Sox, with the two teams on opposite ends of the AL East. That certainly takes some of the juice out of this storied series, but both teams will still really want to win these games. Unfortunately, things didn’t go well for Early when he faced the Yankees earlier this season. The Red Sox lost 4-0 in a game in which he allowed three runs over 5.1 innings.
Early struggles against right-handed hitters in particular, allowing an OPS of .763 to righties this season. With Giancarlo Stanton and Aaron Judge both sidelined, the Yankees are lacking in right-handed power at the plate. Paul Goldschmidt is the one guy on that side of the plate who could give Early issues. Goldschmidt is red hot at the moment. He is batting .340 with a 1.025 OPS over the last 15 days. Goldschmidt should, at the very least, record a base hit in this game.

Francisco Lindor made his return to the Mets’ lineup last night against the Cubs after a long stint on the IL. This has been a nightmare of a season for the New York Mets, with Lindor’s long time away from the team just being a small piece of that. However, if the Mets are to get back on track, they will need their captain to return to his old self and play great baseball the rest of the season. This game is a great chance for Lindor to get his bat going and try to get things on track. Matthew Boyd will be on the mound for the Cubs, who is also returning from a stint on the IL. Boyd made just five starts this season before hitting the IL. He pitched most recently on May 3rd.
So, while Lindor is rusty, so is the person pitching to him. Boyd was not great prior to his IL stint, with a 6.00 ERA to his name. Lindor has also had a lot of success against Boyd in the past. Lindor has a .333 batting average and a .945 OPS in 39 career at-bats against Boyd. This game is a great chance for Lindor to spark his bat and start being the guy the Mets need him to be the rest of the way.
Pick6 is a peer-to-peer fantasy variant where you build a lineup (your “Pick Set”) of 2+ players and select whether or not you believe each will outperform their listed stat projection. Enter your Pick Set in Pick6 contests to compete against other users. Get enough picks correct and win a share of cash prizes.
Create a Pick Set by choosing 2+ players from the same sport and Pick Group (a set of picks available from a group of competitions). For each player, simply select if you think they’ll have more or less than their listed stat projection. In each Pick Set, you can not pick the same player twice, and you must pick players from at least two different teams.
Once you finalize your Pick Set, choose your entry fee amount. Your entries will be automatically distributed into available contests, subject to your confirmation.
When the games go live, use the My Picks tab to follow your picks in real time to track how your players are performing against their projections and how they stack up against other users.
Make enough correct picks and win a share of the contests’ guaranteed prizes. Any prizes won will be credited to your DraftKings account after contests are finalized.
