Bryan Armetta shares his three favorite MLB NRFI prop bets on DraftKings Sportsbook for Tuesday’s 15-game slate.
All 15 MLB teams will take the field on Tuesday. For those looking to cash in quickly on a bet, nothing makes more sense than an NRFI. With that being said, there’s more to this one than meets the eye. Some pitchers thrive early, while others take more time to get settled in than others. Which NRFI picks are worth a closer look this evening?
Ahead of Tuesday’s MLB contests, here are three NRFI bets worth placing on DraftKings Sportsbook.
Few offenses in baseball are struggling more than Philadelphia at the moment. The Phillies have scored 30 runs over their last ten games, ahead of only the Mets (29) during that time. That should be music to the ears of Giants starter Tyler Mahle. Despite a shaky first few weeks, the veteran bounced back last Wednesday with a seven-inning, scoreless masterpiece against the Dodgers. When pitching at Citizens Bank Park, the tenth-year pro owns a 78% NRFI rate. Despite the big names in this lineup, I’d take anyone with a pulse against the Phillies right now.
For the home team, Jesus Luzardo will get the nod. Despite their hitting woes, the Phillies haven’t been much better on the mound. Nobody sums this up better than Luzardo, a former All-Star that has looked miserable on the mound. Through 27.1 innings, the 28-year-old has notched a 6.91 ERA, 1.54 WHIP and 33 strikeouts. With that being said, San Francisco presents the perfect get right spot for the southpaw. The Giants are averaging 3.46 runs per game, second-worst in baseball. Luzardo has a stellar 85% career NRFI rate when pitching in Philadelphia. Against this light-hitting lineup, a clean top of the first shouldn’t be too difficult.
Tonight’s pitching matchup in Arlington might be the best all season, let alone on Tuesday’s slate. It’ll be Cam Schlittler toeing the slab for the visiting Yankees. Following 2025’s postseason breakout, the young right-hander is establishing himself as one of baseball’s premier hurlers. Over 35.2 innings of work, he’s recorded a 1.77 ERA, 0.73 WHIP and 41 strikeouts. Schlittler has allowed one earned run or less in four of his six starts this season. This evening, the fireballer will face a struggling Texas lineup. The Rangers are averaging an MLB-worst 2.69 runs per game at home. The offense has also accounted for a league-worst 7.69% YRFI rate at Globe Life Field.
Opposing Schlittler tonight will be none other than Jacob deGrom. The 37-year-old remains one of the sport’s elite pitchers, reinforced during 2025’s bounce back campaign. Over five starts this season, Texas’ ace has posted a 2.13 ERA, 1.07 WHIP and 35 strikeouts. Even more important, for betting purposes at least, the veteran owns a career 80% NRFI rate. In two outings against New York as a member of the Rangers, deGrom has only given up two combined runs (1.69 ERA). The Yankees, while still potent, are slightly less productive on the road as well. Given the pedigree of these two arms, this is shaping up to be a pitcher’s duel.
Miami has been, if nothing else, more competitive than usual this season. Look no further than Monday’s agonizing 5-4 loss at Dodger Stadium. The Fish will attempt to seal the deal tonight with Janson Junk set to start. While not a household name, the right-hander is fairly underrated at this point in his career. Through five starts this season, he’s put up a 3.67 ERA, 1.15 WHIP and 17 strikeouts. Since 2025, Junk has delivered a quality 75.0% NRFI rate as well. Los Angeles’ lineup, despite its star power, has been somewhat lacking recently. The Dodgers have failed to score in the first during seven of their last nine contests.
For the top half of the inning, LA will hand the ball to superstar Shohei Ohtani. When he isn’t hitting bombs, the four-time MVP is also pretty good on the mound. He’s been near-unhittable in 2026, giving up just one earned run over 24.0 innings of work (0.38 ERA). Those numbers alone make it difficult to expect much scoring for any opponent. The Marlins are decent enough at the plate, but facing Ohtani won’t be easy. Miami’s 42 runs over its last ten games are tied for seventh-fewest in baseball. Expect a low scoring start tonight in Los Angeles.
