I've been spending some time experimenting with different UI patterns lately, and instead of building another generic landing page, I decided to focus on something a bit more niche: financial knowledge and resource platforms.

The idea was simple.

Take the same collection of finance-related content and explore how it could be presented using completely different interface styles. Along the way, I got to experiment with layouts, typography, content hierarchy, and navigation patterns.

Here are three of the concepts I've built recently.

1. Financial Knowledge Hub Landing Page
   
   This version follows a more traditional landing page structure with a large hero section, featured resources, quick stats, and clear calls to action.
   My goal here was to make financial content feel less overwhelming. A lot of finance websites throw too much information at users immediately, so I wanted a cleaner, more focused experience.

2. Filterable Resource Explorer
   
   For this concept, I focused on discoverability.
   Instead of presenting everything at once, users can browse resources by category and quickly find the topics they're interested in.
   I enjoyed building this one because it feels closer to how people actually consume educational content online. Sometimes users know exactly what they're looking for, and filtering helps them get there faster.

3. Bento Grid Knowledge Hub
   
   I've seen bento-style layouts become increasingly popular, so I wanted to see how the approach would work for financial content.
   The interesting part was deciding which information deserved the larger panels and which content could sit in supporting positions. Small layout decisions ended up having a surprisingly large impact on the overall feel of the page.
   This was probably the most fun design of the three to build.

All of these projects are completely open source.

What I'm Learning

One thing this experiment keeps teaching me is that the same content can feel completely different depending on how it's presented.
The articles and resources behind these examples are identical, but each layout creates a different experience for the user.
That's one of the things I enjoy most about front-end development: sometimes changing the structure is more impactful than adding new features.
