I’ve been experimenting with integrating Claude, the Model Context Protocol (MCP), and Home Assistant, and the results are impressive.

Traditionally, AI assistants could answer questions and provide information, but their ability to interact with real-world systems was limited. MCP changes that by providing a standardized way for AI models to securely connect to external tools and services.
