Choosing between Astro and Next.js in 2026? Both are excellent frameworks, but they solve different problems. This guide breaks down the real tradeoffs so you can make the right call for your project.

Use Astro when your site is content-heavy and you want maximum performance with minimal JavaScript. Use Next.js when you need a full-stack React application with dynamic data, auth, and API routes.
