Built during the Agentic Premier League (APL) by GDG Cloud Pune, CaptainVerse AI is a multi-agent AI system that simulates real IPL captaincy decisions using Google Gemini.
Instead of a normal chatbot, the project uses multiple AI agents with different roles:
- Strategist Agent → decides tactics
- Stats Analyst Agent → analyzes match data
- Devil’s Advocate Agent → challenges decisions
- Commentator Agent → explains decisions in cricket language
The idea was to build an AI system that thinks more like an IPL war room rather than giving generic answers.
Example:
145/4 in 16.2 overs on a turning pitch.
- Strategist: “Bring Bumrah now.”
- Devil’s Advocate: “Risky due to dew.”
- Final Decision: “Use slower wide yorkers with deep square protection.”
