(Rant)

I’ve been self teaching myself software engineering for quite some time now and with the rise of AI it kind of feels like everything is a means to an end or have simply stressed this idea further.

My journey thus far has simply been learning software engineering with the intentions of embarking on a career change. The whole idea of creating something out of nothing has always fascinated me and almost in a sense gamified the whole ordeal of solving problems as you build a project that never existed.

However, when that thing that been stuck in your head comes into fruition, and theres no new problems to work on, it almost always leaves me with "what now?". AI have stressed this further as we are now able to "speed run" our workflow.

This may not make much sense.
I guess I just needed to get this out.

The thought of getting a job in this field is drying up and the job market itself doesn't help either.
