学塾之隙:为何应用人工智能尚未改变世界之学法

寰宇极会,欲成业于众业未竟之境——将人工智能自研室移入庠序。此举显世人渐悟,教育或为应用机器学最关紧要、而服务最欠之疆域。


当世之智械,其心处有显异焉。能合众研之精,生工级之码,持数十语言之微言,今已广可及矣。然庠序之景,犹若故常。贫瘠之地,学子犹习陈腐之册。师者,虽分众广,犹耗其时于繁文,而非授业。且智械之导学,虽精巧能应人之异,多囿于研习之境,或商贾之偏产,未达于最需之庠序。
隙非独在技。模已存,基已立。所缺者,据EdTech 3.0()之组织者言,乃通晓两端之建者众。一端为机器学之架构,一端为教学之实境,需共济于求可施之果。
EdTech 3.0 乃一星期之全球創意比賽,始於丙申年五月初一,訖於初五,由 Open Source Connect 主持,此乃國際開源社區之倡議也。其志在縮小人工智能所能與課堂實際所需之距,非藉研究之議或光華之示,而憑軟件之能,俾於九月可於真實學校運作。
問題之廣大
人工智能或可解之教育匮乏,非细末之策也。天下有童子三亿,所受教育甚不足,于成人生活无甚裨益。匮乏之教育系统,师者耗其四成工时于行政、阅卷、记绩、报课——此非可施于独授之时,而独授者,研究屡证为成效之最也。
时至今日,真伪人工智能辅助之教,其技已大备。大言模型能持论理之对答,察学子应答之隙,因显不明而适解。多模系统可通语言以处言文。音合成与录文之器,质已足用於堂。其塞非根能之限,乃无专域之用,不循实教之格:信实、易达、非技之师生皆可善用,且察不丰之境之限。
结构胜于浮华
多数科技竞赛所产者,乃创客营之自然所励也:精饰之陈,适于短时之评。EdTech 3.0之策者,尝欲显设以逆此势。七日之式,较诸同类之会为长——长矣,于理而言,足令众队超乎验其能,入于真深之构,并载其行也。
是事之构,环四维之挑战,各系于教化之实,有技之界。首者,智育之导,非徒返其是,乃诚模学者之现境,因应而变。次者,评鉴之自动化:耗师者之务,非惟判对错,乃生境之反,助其进益。三者,及于可及与包容,重及于逢制障之学者——言文、障疾、方域、络之不可恃——而众教技之品,多默然置之。四者,为四维之至艰,专予得与实育之伴者:真校、导室、习程之属,愿参实时之试。
此乃要义所在。其辟蹊径——于速成之赛制中,实属罕见——自竞技原型至实证之途,限时限日可达。是途之项目,重其成效尤甚:师者之应,学子之勤或绩之变,及于非控境之可用之证,皆所察也。
评鉴若为信号
竞逐之事,信实所恃,在於评断之精严。EdTech 3.0之计分之制,当别论之,盖其所重者,与通例之标格,意趣殊异也。
教化之效,占全分之三十,非为高标,实为明制:须明何者受益,于何境,及于何量之期。
又三十百分者,察智能之能,自主之性:系统果能推理、适应、应偶发之事,抑或无论境遇,皆应一辙?其余四十百分,分属可扩展性与用户体验,而体验之标准,明定为其目标受众无需技术之导,即可用之。此非教师之产品所能轻易企及,盖教师或无暇,或无工技之识;亦非学子之用,若其处数字之识不可预。
评审团之专长,实属广博。评审者多出自大型科技企业,其中不乏于人工智能领域有重大研究及产品投资者;亦不乏全球排名前列之大学、人工智能安全研究机构,及于资源匮乏环境部署教育项目有国际运营经验之组织。此最后一类尤值注意。评审者中既有多语种及服务不足环境之实地经验者,显其意不在仅评估提交之物之技术精妙,更在察其与受益最多之学子之关联。
此委员会亦囊括AI产品研发之全周期从业者,自大型系统工程至消费产品管理,乃至初创阶段产品开发,故提交之作品将不仅审其商业可行性、现实适用性,亦将察其技术雄心。于志诚之士而言,此较之寻常竞赛之评审,更近产品评鉴之严苛。
何故教育,何故此时
论EdTech 3.0之广大背景,当退而思之。AI入教非新类也——适性学制、自动作文评分、智能导学之雏形,已存数十载矣。变者,通用语言模型之根本能力耳,其使与开放式教育内容相契之系统,减其价费,简其繁难。
此变生机,亦潜患焉。机者,造真效之智育评估之器,其障已夷。得才工之师,具强能之语模,复有精构之用层,则可成昔需专研十载之业。患者,若器成而无深谙教化之境,则炫于表而拙于用——甚者,系统偏颇,使最需助者反受其害。
EdTech 3.0之轨制,显其明察二者之变。重可及、包容及实世之证,非偶然也——乃欲引竞逐之励,向艰而要之题,非向易显之方。
开源之志,乃父辈倡议"开源连接"之精髓,更添深意。是会所建之项目,意在显于众,共于民,迭而新之——非囿于初创企业之专有栈或研究机构之秘藏库。此论,隐于会之结构,谓教育之域,开源贡献与社群迭代,可与商业开发并行不悖。
实用之微积分于筑者
于机器学习之匠、器物设计之师、创业之始者,若思以一周之暇赴此会,其算非独奖格之重也,尚有数端之虑焉。
评审团囊括诸公司之从业者,彼辈多立于人工智能产品开发之前沿。凡提交之作,若能契合赛事之标则,彰显真性智能体之推演、现实世界之可拓展性、可用性之设计——此实为专业之证,非面试或作品集之境所能伪造。于研究者而言,第四赛道更予稀世之机:乃构建学术志趣于教育人工智能与既定时期内之现实实证之结构化机制也。
初创之主,此会可获专家之评于久建之前。数位评者专精于察产品是否确证真需,此审可省数月之误建。
盖尤重者,此会显一观,日为AI之业所共,谓教化非偏用之域,实为应AI之发最高之场也。能通今AI之能于真堂之用者,将定一业之重。所为之工,及其工者,皆可察焉。
