Bell Media Strikes Co-Development Deal With Jae & Trey Ri...
Jesse Whitto · 2026-04-30 · via News

EXCLUSIVE: Canada’s Bell Media has struck a first-look and co-development deal with the stars of Crave comedy The Office Movers, which has at the same time been sold to Sky in the UK.

The deal with Jermaine “Jae” Richards, Trevaunn “Trey” Richards and exec producer Julian Lloyd’s Random Order Studios will see them together to work up “globally-minded, culture-driven storytelling.” Bell’s distribution house, Sphere Abacus, will have a first look at international rights.

The Richards brothers star in The Office Movers, which is based on their personal experience of working for their father’s moving company.

Sphere Abacus already shops the show, which is made by Counterfeit Pictures, and we can reveal the UK-based distribution business has sold Seasons 1-3 to Sky in the UK. The same British buyer swooped for Crave’s biggest show, Heated Rivalry, at the back end of 2025.

For Bell, the deal follows on from similar agreements with the likes of Point Grey Pictures, Lionsgate, Pageboy Productions and Tom Green Productions Canada Inc.

The Toronto-based Richards brothers are comedians who came up online, amassing millions of lifetime views across their YouTube channels. They’re close with stars such as Kevin Hart and Drake, who has appeared in their sketches and even sampled one for his song “Mabida Riddim,’ and appeared in an episode of The Office Movers. The duo also host Random Order, a weekly podcast signed to Headgum that offers their comedic commentary on pop culture topics.

Among their projects through Random Order Studios is another Crave series, Judge Tyco, which takes place in a courtroom where top Toronto’s top goon Tyco presides over the trivial cases of teenagers totally unqualified.

The company is currently working on a slate of scripted and unscripted series, branded content, and “athlete and culture-driven storytelling.” Several are being developed projects alongside cultural production partners and global brands, “with a focus on bridging internet culture, sports, and television.”

“Random Order Studios brings a bold, distinctive voice and sharp comedic sensibility to Bell Media’s world-class content portfolio,” said Justin Stockman, VP of Content Development & Programming, Bell Media. “Our collaboration with Jermaine and Trevaunn underscores our commitment to expanding our digital and premium content footprint – delivering authentic, globally resonant storytelling that connects with audiences everywhere.”

Jermaine Richards said Random Order had “always built from a real place, from our community, from our experiences, and from the people who have supported us from the beginning,” adding: “This partnership is a continuation of that, just at a different level. It allows us to stay true to who we are while opening the door to tell bigger stories and reach audiences around the world.”

“We understand what audiences connect with because we’ve been building with them for years,” added Trevaunn Richards. “Now it’s about taking that same instinct and applying it to bigger ideas, bigger formats, and a global stage. We’re coming into this with momentum, and we plan to make the most of it.”

Lloyd called a deal “a milestone, but it’s also momentum,” noting how the company had been built outside of the traditional production ecosystem through the likes of the Random Order Podcast. “This partnership proves creator-led studios can scale into long-form without losing what made them resonate. We’re still community-first — now we’re building at scale.”

Jermaine and Trevaunn Richards are represented by Odd Projects and Hansen, Jacobson Teller.
