




























EXCLUSIVE: Vendôme Group, the Oscar-winning Paris and L.A.-based CODA/La Famille Bélier production banner headed by Philippe Rousselet and Fabrice Gianfermi, has announced a trio of promotions in a restructuring of its management lines.
Under the executive reshuffle, French film producers and long-term partners Éric Jehelmann and Jonathan Blumental have been appointed Co-Chief Creative Officers of Vendôme Group’s French entities with immediate effect.
Ninon Desplat, who has overseen production and development of Vendôme Films since 2022, has been upped to Producer and Head of Productions and Development of Films and TV at the company.
Rousselet and Gianfermi will continue to oversee the entire group, but their producer activity will now be focused on the international driven slate they are developing under new company Emotion Pictures.
Based out of Vendôme Group’s Paris office, Jehelmann and Blumental will take responsibility for overseeing the development and production of all French-speaking projects across the group, while continuing their respective existing roles as heads of Vendôme’s French-language production companies Jerico Films and Prélude Films.
Jerico Films was behind the French hit La Famille Belier, which was then remade by the group’s L.A.-based arm Vendôme Pictures into the three-time Oscar-winner CODA, with other credits including Romain Gary’s adaptation Promise at Dawn starring Pierre Niney,
The credits of Prélude Films include Michel Hazanavicius’ The Lost Prince and recently the Prime Video series Ourika respectively. Jehelmann will also continue to spearhead Jerico TV, together with Anne Voirin.
In her new role, Ninon Desplat will continue to oversee development and production for French-language focused banner Vendôme Films. Recently launched, Vendôme Group’s Magma Productions label continues to be led by Mallory Vabre and Anne-Charlotte Homasson.
Announced last week, Emotion Pictures is a partnership between Vendôme Pictures, Pathé and Merit France with a focus on English-language commercial films. It is currently in production on Morten Tyldum’s Ibelin, starring Charlie Plummer, Stephen Graham, Toni Collette, Isabela Merced, Maisy Stella, and Bill Nighy, and has another 10 projects in development.
Kathryn Thal will continue her role across Vendôme Pictures and Emotion Pictures as Senior Vice President of Development and Production, alongside Ejiah Rousselet who recently joined as creative executive.
