Another group of budding young thespians have joined Prime Video‘s YA adaptation of Chloe Walsh‘s BookTok sensation Boys of Tommen.

After a widespread search, Prime Video has revealed Amelia May as Claire Biggs, John Hewson as Gerard Gibson, Indy Lewis as Lizzie Young, Alex Dunne as Hugh Biggs, Dixie Egerickx as Katie Wilmot, Daisy Jacob as Bella Wilkinson, Jonathan Heed as Cormac Ryan and Cathal Ó Síocháin as Ronan McGarry. The search for Patrick Feely is still underway. 

The new cast join leads Brendan Canty, Nancy Surridge, Conor Sánchez, James O’Donoghue and Sophie McGibbon.

The romantic drama from The Summer I Turned Pretty studio wiip and Off Campus maker Temple Hill follows the forbidden love story of Johnny Kavanagh, the star rugby player on the verge of a pro career, and Shannon Lynch, the talented but painfully shy new girl at the prestigious private school of Tommen College in Ballylaggin, Ireland. Both teenagers are hiding secrets; Johnny, a potentially career-ending injury, and Shannon, a troubled and violent homelife. Through their secret and highly charged connection, the two teens from opposite worlds battle against the odds and find a way to save each other. 

The new cast are relative newcomers but some have had meaty roles including May, who led BBC thriller Wild Cherry, which just sold to Paramount+, Egerickx, who was in The Essex Serpent, and Jacob, who played Young Maggie in Dolly Alderton’s Everything I know About Love.

Boys of Tommen is the latest in a long line of Prime Video YA shows and is based on the first two books in the hit series by Walsh. It is being adapted by Good Girl’s Guide to Murder’s Poppy Cogan and comes from director Brendan Canty. Ingrid Goodwin is series producer.
