EXCLUSIVE: Legendary TV has optioned the rights to develop a series based on sorority recruitment coach Trisha Addicks’ debut book The Rush Bible.

While Addicks’ book, released Tuesday, is a “straight-talking guide for any panicked young woman (or, let’s get real, her mom) facing rush,” the series will follow a fictional rush consulting firm where expert coaches are paid thousands to usher young women through sorority recruitment.

The series will open up the world of “high-stakes, cutthroat world of sorority recruitment, where identity, belonging, and sisterhood are all on the line.”

“Trisha has crafted a story about power, identity, and belonging with remarkable authenticity and emotional complexity,” Jason Clodfelter, President of TV at Legendary Entertainment, said in a statement. “We’re thrilled to collaborate with Eva Longoria, Hyphenate Media Group, and Trisha to bring this provocative and deeply human series to life.”

Legendary and Hyphenate Media Group will produce with Eva Longoria and Cris Abrego attached as executive producers. Addicks will also executive produce.

Addicks, widely regarded as the nation’s top sorority rush consultant, founded her rush consultancy firm It’s All Greek To Me in 2017. She and her team offer private consulting services to help young women navigate the highly competitive recruitment process including one-on-one strategy, interview and conversation coaching, wardrobe and social media guidance, and real-time support during rush. 

Viewers may know Addicks from HBO Max’s 2023 documentary Bama Rush, which pulled back the curtain on the sorority recruitment process at the University of Alabama.
