'All Her Fault' Creator Inks Deal With Universal Global T...

EXCLUSIVE: Megan Gallagher (All Her Fault) has emerged as one of Universal Global Television‘s most prolific creators. She has now formalized her relationship with the studio, signing an overall deal with UGT, the Universal Studio Group division formed recently by the merger of UCP and Universal International Productions. The pact includes a first-look deal with UGT-owned label Carnival Films.

Under the overall deal, Gallagher will develop and produce series exclusively with Universal Global Television.

She already has one hit for UGT (via UIS) and Carnival Films under her belt, the record-setting Peacock Original series All Her Fault, starring Sarah Snook, which she created based on Andrea Mara’s book and executive produced. It will be followed by Gallagher’s adaptation of Katherine Faulkner’s The Break-In, which was recently given a series order by Peacock, and Such a Nice Girl, based on Mara’s novel, which is in development at Peacock with Gallagher writing and executive producing. Both series also are from Carnival Films and UGT.

Watch on Deadline

Gallagher’s development slate under the new UGT deal spans original stories and existing IP, including an adaptation of a Universal Pictures title.

“Universal Global Television was a fantastic creative partner on All Her Fault, and Carnival Films has become a true home for me as a writer, so I’m absolutely delighted at the opportunity to continue my collaboration with them both,” Gallagher said. “I’m so happy to have solidified this partnership, and so excited about the material we’re developing now.”

Released in November, All Her Fault, starring Sarah Snook, became Peacock’s biggest original launch to date, amassing 45 million hours viewed in its first four weeks.

“Our experience on All Her Fault cemented what we already knew – Megan is an excellent creative partner collaborator and human being,” Beatrice Springborn, President, Universal Global Television, said. “We’re delighted to make the partnership official and dive back in with her on The Break-In and Such a Nice Girl.”

The Oslo-based, American-born Gallagher created, wrote, and executive produced the Critics Choice and Golden Globe-nominated All Her Fault, which also stands as Sky’s highest-performing drama of 2025. Gallagher was writer and executive producer on BBC’s psychological crime thriller Wolf. Her upcoming projects include The Blame, an ITV drama starring Michelle Keegan and Douglas Booth, on which she serves as lead writer and executive producer.

“Following the success of All Her Fault and with our new Peacock series The Break-In alongside other projects in development, we’re thrilled to extend our partnership with Megan,” said Nigel Marchant, Co-Executive Chair, Carnival Films. “She’s a writer of extraordinary range, and prodigiously talented. It is our great fortune at Carnival Films to collaborate with her, and to continue to be home for the finest screenwriters working today.”

At UTG, Gallagher joins other top TV creators on the studio roster, including Seth MacFarlane, Patrick Macmanus, Nick Antosca and Rachel Shukert. On Peacock, UTG’s Carnival Films also has The Day Of the Jackal. UTG’s current slate also includes Peacock’s The ‘Burbs, Ted and The Five-Star Weekend and Apple TV’s Cape Fear.

Gallagher is repped by UTA, UK’s United Agents and Hansen Jacobson.
