UPDATED: HBO Max has released the official trailer for Big Bang Theory spinoff Stuart Fails To Save the Universe.

In it, we get a super quick glimpse of a few familiar faces including Christine Baranski (Beverly Hofstadter), Riki Lindhome (Ramona Nowitzki), and Teller (Larry Fowler). Jon Cryer also is seen in the kaleidoscope graphic.

The ten-episode season will make its streaming debut Thursday, July 23 at 9 pm ET on HBO Max, followed by a new episode every Thursday.

PREVIOUS, May 13: We’re getting the first look at footage from The Big Bang Theory spinoff Stuart Fails To Save the Universe. The teaser was revealed along with the release date Wednesday during the Warner Bros. Discovery Upfront presentation in New York. The ten-episode season will make its streaming debut Thursday, July 23 at 9 pm ET on HBO Max, followed by a new episode every Thursday.

The spinoff revolves around comic book store owner Stuart Bloom (Kevin Sussman) who is tasked with restoring reality after he breaks a device built by Sheldon (Jim Parsons) and Leonard (Johnny Galecki), accidentally bringing about a multiverse Armageddon. Stuart is aided in this quest by his girlfriend Denise, geologist friend Bert, and quantum physicist/all-around pain in the ass Barry Kripke. Along the way, they meet alternate-universe versions of characters we’ve come to know and love from The Big Bang Theory. As the title implies, things don’t go well.

The clip opens with The Comic Center of Pasadena storefront. Cue Brian Posehn’s Bert, who asks Stuart (Kevin Sussman) “How is it out there?” followed by footage of a chaotic “apocalyptic nightmare”. “I think there’s room for improvement,” replies Bert.

“I’ve only got a few minutes to explain this…. so you gotta focus,” says Alternate Stuart Bloom. He tells Stuart, “I’m you from another stream of reality.”

At one point we see a cameo of Big Bang alum Galecki, who flashed in a comic book drawing.

Lauren Lapkus plays Stuart’s girlfriend Denise, Brian Posehn is Bert and John Ross Bowie is Barry.
