EXCLUSIVE: Blink49 Studios is continuing to build out its creator capabilities.

The North American production house has hired Pocket.watch‘s Omar Gharaibeh as Vice President, Creator Partnerships at Blink49 Creator Studios. Based in L.A., he will work to expand Blink49’s creator ecosystem and develop the company’s global strategy in the space.

Gharaibeh – an exec who’s worked with the likes of Snoop Dogg, Bobby Lee and Sarah Silverman – will report to Mickey Meyer, President of Blink49’s Global Creator Studios business, who was hired in April to run the new operation.

Gharaibeh has extensive experience across creator-led media, digital publishing, content distribution, strategic partnerships and digital business development. He most recently served as Senior Director at pocket.watch, where he worked on initiatives including a landmark partnership with Disney+.

His previous leadership roles include positions at The Unreasnable, Blavity and Group Nine Media, where he focused on building out creator-focused businesses. Earlier in his career, he held roles at Disney, JASH, and Maker Studios.

The new role will see him cultivate creator partnerships, identify new business opportunities, and work with creators to develop and expand their intellectual property across platforms.

Blink49 Creator Studios launched earlier this year to develop, finance, produce, and distribute creator-led content and intellectual property across scripted, unscripted, digital and emerging platforms.
