As Armie Hammer makes his onscreen comeback, Citizen Vigilante teamed up with the perfect platform for a streaming debut… no, not The Daily Wire.

On Thursday, X owner Elon Musk uploaded the full Uwe Boll-helmed action flick to the platform formerly known as Twitter, making it available to watch in its entirety for 48 hours, a week after the movie premiered in theaters, digital and on demand.

Musk posted the film after Boll announced the limited engagement. “Here it is. It’s Uwe Boll, director from Citizen Vigilante. The hour’s up, the movie’s now available on X for 48 hours. Enjoy,” said the writer/director in a video posted to the social platform.

In Citizen Vigilante, Hammer plays a wealthy American businessman-turned-vigilante who hunts down violent criminals and corrupt judges in Croatia.

The film has recently been banned in Boll’s native Germany, due to depictions of extreme violence and seemingly anti-immigrant message, according to The Telegraph.

Boll considers the movie “incredibly timely,” telling the outlet, “I hope that the film gets released in Britain sooner rather than later, because I know that in America there’s a lot of interest and response.

“In Europe at the moment, people are shying away from making this kind of harsh political movie, but I’ve always tried to smuggle politics into genre movies,” added the controversial director. “This isn’t a documentary, it’s a thriller and I hope that viewers respond to it.”

The movie also marks Hammer’s first starring role since the LAPD investigated accusations against the actor of rape and sexual abuse. Although he was dropped from several projects and his representation, Hammer maintained his innocence and ultimately faced no charges.
