Angry Bird Ear or Angry Birds Ear, also known as Angry Bird Listening, I Repeat Back Anything That's Said to Me and I Am All Ears MF, is a reaction image meme depicting a red bird from the video game series Angry Birds (named Red) with a large human hand and ear with a raised eyebrow, signifying that he's listening to someone. The graphic originally comes from an app called Talking Red, similar to Talking Tom, that featured the red bird sitting on green grass, where he would supposedly repeat back something the user would say, listening with the hand and ear image.

The meme initially spread under a different name and usage in 2024 before being primarily used as a reaction image on TikTok as a sticker in comment sections during late 2025 and early 2026. As the meme spread on TikTok in early 2026, users began creating numerous variations of the image, often using AI.

Origin

The original image of the red Angry Birds character listening with a human ear and hand comes from an app called Talking Red, in which users attempted to get the bird to repeat back phrases said into the microphone.^[2] The app is purportedly lost media and first appeared online on mid-to-late March 2024, with the app being recreated shortly after.^[8]

The app and graphic of the red bird notably went around in late March 2024 in a precursor meme trend called "I Repeat Back Anything That's Said to Me" where users would attempt to get the bird to repeat their statements, with the bird constantly replying with the same sound.

According to some,^[1] the original comes from a since-deleted Twitter / X user from South America who used the app in a viral video posted sometime in March 2024 in which he continuously tried to get the bird to repeat his words, with it eventually referencing the August 12 2036, The Heat Death Of The Universe meme when the man mocked him by making the same sound.

It was reposted to YouTube on June 27th, 2024, receiving over 577,000 views and 15,000 likes in two years.

Another variant of the meme was posted to YouTube on March 23rd, 2024, titled "I repeat back anything that's said to me full meme," which garnered over 1.1 million views and 42,000 likes in a similar timeframe.

The image of the red Angry Bird with the hand and ear was then uploaded to Tenor^[3] by user endmysufferingrn on May 2nd, 2024, under the title "I Am All Ears Mf Meme."

Spread

The meme of Red from Angry Birds continued spreading online in 2024 as people created and shared various clips using the Talking Red app or altered the original image of the character with the ear and hand.

For example, on June 2nd, 2024, Redditor BreadfruitDeep1436 posted artwork of the meme to the /r/angrybirds^[4] subreddit, titled "what is the story behind this meme and it will become viral meme?" asking for the story behind the image and if it would become viral. The post received over 150 upvotes and 45 comments in two years, with many of the comments as of early March 2026 referencing the second wave of virality surrounding the meme.

In late 2025 and early 2026, the meme saw a notable resurgence on TikTok as users began reposting variants of it in videos and using it in comment sections, with numerous versions spreading on the platform.

For instance, on December 21st, 2025, TikToker^[5] graymaxwellm posted the hand-drawn version to the site in a video, garnering over 1,460 likes and 200 comments in three months. Many of the users commenting on the video also shared other versions of the meme.

On January 30th, 2026, TikToker^[6] yelli_li_yellila posted a Kirkified version of the meme in a video that received over 120 likes and 25 comments in two months.

On February 18th, 2026, TikToker^[7] angrybirds2 posted another example of the meme in which the Angry Bird Ear meme stretches and replicates itself several times, garnering over 160,100 likes and 3,200 comments in two weeks.
