Nutrient introduces a new era of document automation

RALEIGH, N.C., May 27, 2025 — Nutrient, the leading platform for document processing and workflow automation, today announced a bundled release of major updates to its Workflow Automation Platform and low-code integration solutions. Designed for fast-moving, compliance-heavy industries, the new capabilities empower organizations to transform inefficient, document-heavy workflows into secure, scalable, and intelligent operations — without sacrificing control, visibility, or peace of mind.

“The future of business automation isn’t bots and band-aids — it’s about businesses upleveling their operational infrastructure,” said Jonathan Rhyne, co-founder and CEO of Nutrient. “Our platform focused on document-centric workflows helps teams execute faster, scale smarter, and maintain compliance, even as their organizations and requirements grow and evolve. This release brings that mission into sharper focus than ever before.”

The new standard for document-centric workflow automation

The release includes four major updates that expand Nutrient’s ability to digitize, automate, and connect complex business processes:

    • Document editing — Enable advanced in-platform editing, mark up, and signing for PDFs, Office files, and more — fully integrated with routing, approvals, and audit trails.
    • Automated DOCX generation — Create consistent, professional documents at scale using dynamic templates that pull real-time data from CRMs, ERPs, and databases.
    • AI Data Extraction — Use built-in AI to extract and then populate form data from documents instantly, reducing manual input, errors, and rework.
    • Mobile companion app (public preview) — Enable secure, on-the-go approvals and task management with Nutrient’s new iOS and Android companion apps for Workflow Automation.

Each feature is designed to address core operational pain points — from manual bottlenecks and institutional knowledge, to fragmented systems and compliance risks — and ensure organizations of all sizes are able to execute efficiently.

    Built-in compliance, built to scale

Nutrient’s latest release extends its commitment to the security, governance, and enterprise-readiness of its Workflow Automation platform:

    • SOC 2 Type 2 certified for data protection and auditability.
    • Real-time alerting and event logging for process visibility and authentication.
    • Secure credentials center for the management of tokens, passwords, and keys.
    • Flexible deployment options, including cloud, private cloud, on-premises, or hybrid.

Low-code integrations to extend your ecosystem

The release also includes enhancements to Nutrient’s Microsoft 365 and Salesforce solutions, giving IT and operations teams the ability to extend document automation into the platforms they already use:

    • Document Solutions for Salesforce — Native editing and document generation embedded directly in Salesforce.
    • Document Converter — Now includes batch SVG generation, PDF-to-Office previews, smart redaction, and automated table extraction — all with privacy-first instrumentation.

“Our low-code integrations are built to easily add industry-leading document functionality to major platforms that businesses are already onboarded to,” said Rhyne. “You don’t have to rip and replace — Nutrient helps teams scale document-related tasks securely, right inside the software they already know.”

The bundled release delivers on Nutrient’s promise of efficient execution in document-centric workflows — helping teams reduce friction, improve visibility, and scale with confidence.

“This release isn’t just an update — it’s a blueprint for how modern businesses should automate,” said Rhyne.
