The Nutrient audio brand
Babi Brasileiro · 2025-05-07 · via Inside Nutrient

At Nutrient, we recently underwent a complete transformation of our identity and product offerings. As part of this evolution, we introduced a fresh visual identity. But we didn’t stop there — recognizing the growing demand for videos, events, and webinars, we took things to the next level by developing a unique, custom-built sound identity that enhances every touchpoint of our brand. Nutrient now has its own sonic personality, and it’s pretty awesome.

Why does an audio brand matter?

Sound isn’t just background noise — it plays a crucial role in branding by creating emotional connections with consumers. It influences perception, evokes memories, and makes interactions more memorable and immersive. Whether it’s music, voiceovers, or subtle sound effects, audio branding enhances the customer experience in ways visuals alone simply can’t. Think about the most iconic brands in the world. Chances are, you can recognize them by sound just as easily as by sight. That’s what we’re aiming for with Nutrient: an audio experience that feels like us every time you hear it.

NutrientAudio-Brand — Inline-1

An audio brand isn’t just one sound — it’s an entire ecosystem of auditory elements that represent who we are across different platforms. That includes sonic signatures, sound effects, ambient sounds, and musical compositions. Sound influences our subconscious in ways we don’t even realize. It’s why Nutrient isn’t just something you’ll see — it’s something you’ll hear and feel too.

The mood, the sound, and the power of teamwork

As with all things great, this wasn’t a solo effort. To craft our perfect soundscape, we collaborated with two incredible professionals: sound producer Leo Niemi(opens in a new tab), and sound designer Matti Ahopelto(opens in a new tab).

Together, we explored how to translate our visual guiding principles — infinite possibilities, collaboration, organic, dynamic, warm, and human — into sound. Our goal? To infuse those visual concepts into our sonic identity so that everything feels cohesive, from what you see to what you hear.

Visual guiding principles

Our foundation: The atom

Moods

From this process, we developed three distinct compositions, each offering a different vibe but all tied together by a common thread: our atom. This serves as the core motif that runs throughout our sound identity. We even named our compositions after some of our signature colors! Here’s what we created.

Pixel Mist

NutrientAudio-Brand — Inline-4

A digital yet natural sound, with a calm but strong, opinionated depth, forming vast landscapes. Perfect for moments that need a peaceful yet powerful ambiance.

Digital Pollen

NutrientAudio-Brand — Inline-5

A swarming soundscape that evokes a sense of discovery, movement, and accomplishment. It has tech-y, atom-like elements, making it perfect for dynamic and energetic storytelling.

Code Coral

NutrientAudio-Brand — Inline-6

A composition full of unfolding complexity, evoking the feeling of discovering hidden gems. It has a more grounded presence, with atoms gathering and blending into one another.

Bringing the Nutrient audio brand to life

Once our sound assets were finalized, we focused on ensuring they seamlessly integrated across all our formats. Our Design team got to work crafting animations that perfectly complement our new audio branding. Now, whenever you see a Nutrient video, social media post, or marketing campaign, you’ll experience our custom soundscapes in action — blending sight and sound for a truly immersive brand experience. This evolution makes our brand more dynamic, engaging, and memorable than ever before.

To wrap things up, here’s a compilation of everything we’ve been working on — a showcase of how our new sound identity is shaping Nutrient’s future.
