Model Context Protocol (MCP) brings predictability and usefulness to AI agents, enabling them to interact with tools in predetermined, more deterministic ways.

As always, how these tools are implemented relies on human creativity and exploration. Today, we're excited to announce the Resend MCP Hackathon!

Join the Hackathon

Calling all developers and creators to participate in the Resend MCP Hackathon!

To participate, follow these steps:

1. Create a blog post, writeup, or video showcasing your submission.
2. Post it on social media (𝕏 or LinkedIn).
3. Tag Resend and use the hashtag #ResendMCPHackathon.
4. Submit your post or video by Wednesday, October 1, 2025 (5PM PST).

You must use the Resend MCP server to send an email as part of your submission.

Prizes

The top three submissions will:

• Be featured on our blog
• Be featured on our social media channels

First place will receive a pair of AirPods Pro 3.

Winners will be announced on Friday, October 3, 2025.

While there are no limitations on the submissions, we would encourage you to be creative in your use of other MCP servers. For a submission to be valid, it must include the Resend MCP server to send an email at some point during the MCP interaction.

How to use the Resend MCP Server

The Resend MCP server is a locally built repository that you can configure to work with any MCP client like Claude Code, Cursor Desktop, Warp, or any other client.

With the server configured, you can send emails using Resend:

• Send plain text and HTML emails
• Schedule emails for future delivery
• Add CC and BCC recipients
• Configure reply-to addresses
• Customizable sender email (requires verification)
