That doesn't do anything to address the ethical concerns.

Also, my filter is easier to implement, requires less work from the maintainers, and moves the burden to the contributor, which also means that if a malicious actor wants to attack us, it will have to do more work for it to work, possibly deciding to attack a different project.

I just don't see why I'd want to do that.
