The magic is baked *inside*, not *outside*! :) That's one reason Gentoo is great. And that's why Gentoo has been used to build *other* distributions, too.
20 years as my daily driver desktop. And about 4 years as my server OS (in the past, sadly - always open to enlightened orgs who want a performant, maintainable production OS...) Thanks for all this administrative joy, Gentoo! :)
