The etymology of those words is very different, though. In the place names, it comes from an alternative spelling of "Saxon"; in sextuple and sexagesimal, it comes from the Latin "sextus" meaning "sixth", and in sextant it's also related to "sextus" because it donates the sixth part of a circle.

I think people saying that "gaysex.cloud" wouldn't raise eyebrows in an English-speaking workplace are being a little cute and disingenuous. It wouldn't bother me in an internal presentation, but in something customer-facing I might ask the person to remove it.
