From the release notes (https://documentation.ubuntu.com/release-notes/26.04/summ...)
> authd, Ubuntu’s cloud authentication solution, is now available from an official Ubuntu repository and has a range of new features. Changes since 24.04 are detailed below:
Authd (https://documentation.ubuntu.com/authd/stable-docs/) looks like something I wanted for a while now to give users with a Google Workspace account access to remote development machines. Does anyone have experience with it? The snap thing looks a bit odd.
And the naming seems to be a bit confusing as well, given other projects that are also called authd (e.g., https://packages.fedoraproject.org/pkgs/authd/authd/). Has someone seen authd (the one by Canonical) on other distros as well?
