I am guessing some of these amateur radio protocols can be moved to userspace. Perhaps that's the right thing to do, than making everything live in the kernel.

Back in 1996 or so, one of the things that attracted me to the linux kernel was the very support for these protocols, that iirc, Alan Cox added. Sad to see these go. But perhaps the right thing to do, given the lack of maintainers for these protocols.
