






















This is a bit OT, but... I have a domain name registered, and I use it even for my internal machines. I use LetsEncrypt to get a wildcard certificate for my domain and distribute that to all the servers that need it.
Yes, it was a mild pain to set it up, but now it's up and running and the certificate renewal and distribution is completely automated. I suppose it is a bit more annoying for large organizations that might want a separate domain name for internal machines, or else an extra level like internal. before the real domain name.
