Work w/o publication is not science

Publishing one's results is an integral, that is, non-disputable, part of modern science. If you don't publish, I do not regard you as a scientist. You may be a corporate researcher all day long (and one with ample compensation, I am sure) but no scientist. Your work is selfish, divisional and detrimental to society at large. The moment your corporate overlords lose trust in your money-making abilities your whole research-division is slain. Thus, it never targeted any other than corporate benefits in the first place. The "publication" is academic circle jerking and serves no other purpose as to improve the researchers' feeling of self-importance. These kinds of "publications", that hold back vital parts to let actual scientists reproduce the results, are the garbage that clogs the scientific pipeline and deviates the limited resource of attention from meaningful contributions. Let me be clear that I never questioned your hard work, your cleverness or the strength of your dedication. If you feel attacked by this, I don't really care what you have to say to this. Actions speak louder than words. Properly publish or get out of my sun.
