




















Thanks for the article! We took a similar route at my work place. When the MinIO project stopped being updated we quickly assessed the alternatives and ended up with Garage as it's easy to set up and to maintain and it's EU based. Other contenders were RustFS and SeaweedFS. The latter was a bit too complex for our needs and RustFS was a bit too much of a moving target at that time. Right after we fully deployed our Garage setups (we use it for distributed caching on our CI/CD platforms) a colleague from a different team proposed Versity Gateway which is probably the simplest to setup. But for now we stick with Garage because it works really well and is low maintenance. So a big +1 for Garage!
