As sad as I am to see AX.25 go, for purely sentimental reasons... I haven't even enabled the kconfig in over a decade, and I can't see any reason a userspace implementation couldn't support the same set of features. I'm sure somebody will spin up such an effort in response to this: it would be sort of fun if this triggered a new wave of interest, I'm certainly thinking about it more than I have in a long time :)
