























You say Linux trails behind other OS's on this matter?
Windows can still to this day execute pif files, cmd files, bat files, lnk files etc, even if exec is blocked. You have to take extra steps to disable interpreters and all of these legacy backward compatibility features in Windows just as you do in Linux. Linux is no more behind Windows than Windows is behind Linux.
