Of course, a few of the squashed commits are "fix clippy" levels of quality, so perhaps squashing is actually saving *some* level of history legibility. Still better to ask for squashing fixes in if you ask me (for projects with a moderately high level of ecosystem-wide trust…do whatever in your dotfiles or pet projects).
