Google Play’s mission remains focused on one thing: building an experience that revolves around you. Since we integrated mobile and PC gaming last September, 160 million gamers now use the You tab in Google Play every month to stay up to date on their games. Today, as the industry gathers at the GDC Festival of Gaming, we’re launching updates designed to help you discover your next favorite game and master the ones you love.

1. Play new paid games across mobile and PC

While free-to-play favorites are a staple of our catalog, we know you crave variety. That’s why we’re actively expanding our library to include more paid games. Over the coming months, some of the most anticipated indie games are coming to Play, including Moonlight Peaks, Sledding Game and Low-Budget Repairs. You can dive into these worlds across both mobile and PC with Google Play Games, and your Gamer Profile syncs your progress across devices.

2. Find the games you know you’ll love

With an exciting lineup of new titles coming to Google Play in 2026, we’re making it easier to find the game that’s right for you. If you like playing on PC, you can explore the new PC section in the Play Store Games tab — your dedicated home for games optimized to play on Windows PCs. Found something you love? Wishlist it, and we’ll alert you when the game is on sale.

To help you more easily decide if you want to buy a game, we’re introducing Game Trials, a risk-free way to jump into the full version of a paid title at no cost. If you like it, you can easily purchase the game and pick up right where you left off, with your progress carrying over. Game Trials are rolling out soon to select paid games on mobile, and will come to Google Play Games on PC in the future.

Many players enjoy gaming across mobile and PC, but often you have to buy a version of the game for each device. Today, we’re fixing that for you: “Buy once, play anywhere” pricing is rolling out today on select paid games, such as the Reigns series, OTTTD and Dungeon Clawler. With a single purchase on Play, you’ll receive both the mobile and PC versions of a game.

3. Play better with help from others and AI

Beyond helping you find your next favorite game, we also want to help you master it. Players trust other players, so we’re making it easier for you to ask (and answer!) game-related questions. Community Posts is now available in English for dozens of popular games, with more languages and games coming soon. Now our two billion passionate gamers have a dedicated space to swap tips and tricks, all within Google Play.

Sometimes you need help when you’re in the thick of an intense battle. Last year, we announced Play Games Sidekick, a helpful in-game overlay that curates relevant gaming information and gives you AI-generated Game Tips, so you can stay in the game. Starting today, you can use Sidekick with select paid games downloaded from Play. Check out these games to try it out.

These updates are only the beginning of an exciting lineup of improvements we’re making to Google Play in 2026. Stay tuned for updates throughout the year for an even more tailored experience built around you. And if you’re a game developer, learn about how these announcements can help you grow your business.
