Common Crawl - Blog - Introducing the Common Crawl Errata Page for Data Transparency
2024-10-30 · via Common Crawl

As part of our commitment to accuracy and transparency, we are pleased to introduce a new Errata page on our website.

What is the Errata Page?

The Errata page is a dedicated space where we document known issues and corrections for specific crawls and Web Graph releases. While our team works hard to maintain the quality of every dataset, unexpected issues can occasionally arise. This page will serve as a central reference for any errata, helping users quickly identify and address known challenges with particular data releases.

How It Works

For each dataset affected by an error or update, the errata will be detailed on this new page and also attached at the bottom of relevant blog posts announcing the impacted crawls or Web Graphs. This approach makes it easier to access corrections, whether you're browsing our announcements or looking for specific historical data.

We believe this addition will enhance transparency and improve the overall user experience. We encourage the community to visit the Errata page regularly to stay informed on any updates.

We'd like to thank the people who have reported the errata we have listed so far.  If you have any to report, you can do so via our contact page, our Discord server, or our Google Group.

Thank you for your continued support in building a robust, open dataset ecosystem.
