New: Decentralized Mesh VPN built into Midori Browser 11.7.1

Midori Mesh VPN takes a revolutionary approach to private browsing. Instead of relying on heavy, system-wide apps that can bog down your device, we’ve integrated a lightweight VPN client directly into the browser. This provides users with instant control over their online connection and privacy right where they actually browse, eliminating the headache of extra configurations and ensuring ease of use. Whether you’re at home or on a public Wi-Fi network, this feature ensures that your browsing remains secure and private.

Additionally, Advanced Features offer optional permissions for those who want to dial in their privacy even further, ensuring a tailored experience for every user.

Midori Mesh VPN takes a different approach to private browsing. Instead of relying on heavy, system-wide apps, we’ve integrated a lightweight VPN client directly into the browser. This means you get instant control over your connection and privacy right where you actually browse, without the headache of extra configurations.

This vision not only empowers individuals but also fosters a community where users work together to enhance their online safety and privacy.

Smart Privacy Layer

Think of it as a protective shield for your web traffic. MidoriVPN routes your data through secure endpoints, which helps mask your identity and cuts down on trackers. This feature is crucial for users who wish to maintain anonymity while browsing, especially on unsecured networks. It’s all about making your experience safer, whether you’re on home Wi-Fi or a public hotspot.

Lightweight & Integrated

This vision not only empowers individuals but also fosters a community where users work together to enhance their online safety and privacy.

Since it lives inside the browser, it has a tiny footprint and won’t drag down your system performance. There’s no external software to manage and no complex setup—just one click and you’re good to go. This makes Midori 11.7.1 an excellent choice for those who desire a fast, seamless experience without unnecessary complications.

Users should also be aware of Variable Speeds, as performance can fluctuate based on the available network endpoints, which means that browsing speed can vary depending on the current load on the network.

Lastly, it’s important to recognize that MidoriVPN is a Work in Progress. The team is continuously developing the mesh capabilities to enhance functionality and user experience.

Privacy by Design

With Midori 11.7.1, you can trust that your privacy is built into the design. Features like Encrypted Routing ensure that your traffic stays secure within the Midori infrastructure, while Anti-Tracking dramatically reduces your exposure to network-level monitoring. This comprehensive approach to privacy is not just about protection; it’s about giving users peace of mind when they are online.

Encrypted Routing: Your traffic stays secure within Midori infrastructure.

Anti-Tracking: Dramatically reduces your exposure to network-level monitoring.

Browser-Level Control: You decide exactly how your connection behaves.

Built for the Future (Mesh-ready)

MidoriVPN is designed to eventually evolve into a decentralized, mesh-based network that allows users to contribute to a more resilient ecosystem. The goal is to create a user-powered network that prioritizes privacy and security above all, paving the way for a new era of online browsing.

We’re building this as a foundation for something bigger. MidoriVPN is designed to eventually evolve into a decentralized, mesh-based network. The goal is to move toward a more resilient, user-powered ecosystem that puts privacy first.

A few things to note

Browser-Specific: It only protects the traffic inside the browser, not your entire computer.

Variable Speeds: Performance is tied to the available network endpoints.

Work in Progress: We are actively developing the mesh capabilities as we speak.

MidoriVPN is a key part of the Astian ecosystem, representing our commitment to redefining what it means to have control, security, and true privacy on the web. With the integration of features like these in Midori Browser 11.7.1, users can rest assured that they are browsing the internet safely and securely, with a focus on their privacy.
