Join us at Datadog Summit Tokyo 2024
2024-08-07 · via Datadog | The Monitor blog

Datadog is built on community—from the engineers and SREs whose feedback helps us constantly improve, to the developers who build integrations that broaden the Datadog ecosystem. Datadog Summits are our celebration of that community.

We’re excited to head back to Tokyo, Japan, this fall, where we’ll be hosting our next Datadog Summit on October 16. Join us to meet and learn from members of our community and experts from the Datadog team.

We’ll have a packed day of customer talks and panels, as well as hands-on activities like workshops and AWS GameDay. The summit is a free event and space is limited, so RSVP now to reserve your seat.

Customer Talks

At Datadog Summit Tokyo, you’ll hear how companies are using insights from Datadog to develop innovative solutions to technical challenges. You’ll learn how Degica enriched their alerting to provide more context and accelerate incident resolution, and how NTT Docomo used monitoring data to evolve their products and access new business opportunities.

Workshops

Datadog Summit Tokyo will feature hands-on workshops that will give you practical examples and experience with observability and monitoring tools. We’ll be hosting:

  • Datadog 101 for SREs: This is our introductory site reliability engineering (SRE) training workshop. You’ll learn how to monitor a containerized web application with the Datadog Agent and essential Datadog tools. This course is best suited for SREs.

  • Monitor and Analyze Critical User Flows with Synthetic and Real User Monitoring: In this intermediate course you’ll learn more about using Datadog’s Synthetic Monitoring and Real User Monitoring (RUM) to identify and resolve potential issues such as inconsistent API responses, client-side errors, and user frustration.

  • Delivering High-Quality Software with APM and Distributed Tracing: This is a beginner-level course in which you will learn how to leverage Datadog APM and distributed tracing to identify issues within your applications and improve user experience.

During the summit, you will have plenty of opportunities to meet and chat with other local Datadog users, helping you make new connections and better understand how other engineers are using Datadog on a daily basis.

Throughout the afternoon you’ll be able to see demos and participate in AWS GameDay. AWS GameDay is a gamified learning event that challenges participants to use AWS solutions to solve real-world technical problems in a team-based setting.

We’ll have a networking reception to close out the evening.
