In the text of Politika, a media outlet considered close to Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić, it is assessed that Mandić's move has "weight greater than protocol", and they remind that the leader of the New Serbian Democracy in 2006 was one of the most recognizable opponents of the restoration of Montenegrin statehood.
Also, Politika states that Mandić's political line for years was based on opposition to Montenegrin independence, the new state identity, and the symbols of the state after the referendum.

The newspaper pointed out that this will be the first time that Mandić, as a high state official and President of the Parliament of Montenegro, attends the official state ceremony on the occasion of May 21.
The text also mentions that Mandić's arrival at the celebration "cannot be presented only as a gesture of reconciliation," but rather opens the question of political responsibility towards the Serbian political corpus in Montenegro.
We recall, Mandić announced yesterday that he will attend the reception marking the 20th anniversary of independence, which will be organized by Prime Minister Milojko Spajić.
The reception will be held at the vineyard "13. jul Plantaže."

Mandić: I am coming to the reception at Spajić's, we wish the best…
