“I mean, it feels good. We had a great Ally 48. It feels good to get a solid finish. It’s been hard just to finish races this year, so I’m glad to make that happen.”

“There’s a lot of relief to finish and to not crash. The bigger relief for me is not to crash at a place like this. I don’t have many big hits left in me, and I’m tired of crashing.”

“I try to avoid that when possible. I feel like I have one of those really thick textbooks for my doctor’s records at this point. Just trying to avoid adding any more pages to that.”

The NASCAR race turned into a fuel-saving strategy battle, limiting aggressive moves during long green-flag runs. Drivers stayed in line, managing track position.

“I saved as much fuel as I ever have and could have very easily taken a nap at a couple of points.”

Alex Bowman today found himself in a position late, thanks to strategy and clean driving. His final-lap push helped decide the outcome, as he gave Carson Hocevar the win.

“I was just wide open, pushing Carson the best I could, trying to give him that run. Just tried to push like hell, and I’m glad it worked out.”

Lane change limitations made it difficult to create opportunities in the closing laps.

“I don’t think there was ever an opportunity to move up. I felt like we executed everything we needed to that last run.”

NASCAR Update: Next Gen Car Issues Impact Superspeedway Racing

Alex Bowman’s experience highlighted NASCAR Next Gen car issues. Superspeedway racing challenges continue to limit movement in the pack.

“The next-gen car, we’re just like gridlock two by two. Nobody can really do anything. You’re just pushing the leaders back and forth.”

Car momentum and drag remain key concerns in the current package.

“I personally feel like the car is so draggy that you can have these big runs and you pull out of line and you just stop. It takes a massive change with the race car.”

Despite the issues, the result helps with mental challenges in racing. After a slow start to the 2026 NASCAR season, Alex Bowman continues building momentum for the season with a strong finish.
