The Cleveland Cavaliers are playing the Detroit Pistons in Game 5 of their second-round playoff series, and just before tipoff, the Ohio team got some much-needed good news according to the latest injury updates.

Heading into Game 5, Duncan Robinson was ruled out with an injury and won’t be playing on Wednesday night. Each was listed as questionable earlier in the day, but __ will be sidelined as both the Cavaliers and Pistons hope to take a 3-0 series lead.

Cavaliers Get Good News With Pistons Injury Report For Game 5

As announced by Detroit, they’ll be without Robinson for Game 5.

Robinson is dealing with back soreness, an injury that’s been lingering for the past few weeks. It’s landed him on the injury report several times through the playoffs so far, but he will, for the first time this series, be sidelined him for at least one game.

Through the first four games of the series, Robinson is averaging 13.8 points, 1.8 rebounds, and 2.5 assists on 57.7% shooting from three-point range. It will be a tall task for the Pistons to find a way to replace his shooting, as that has been an issue for them all season.

Kevin Huerter and Caris LeVert were also questionable on the Pistons’ injury report, but both were upgraded to available for Game 5. Huerter was dealing with a left adductor strain, but he’s now available, and set to play for the first time in the Pistons’ series against the Cavaliers. LeVert was facing a right heel contusion, but he’s good to go for Wednesday night.

Still, with the Pistons only ruling out two of the three players listed on the injury report, they aren’t 100% healthy. Cleveland didn’t play their best basketball earlier in the series, but as they’ve started to find a groove, going against a Detroit team not with all of their key players is good news.

As for the Cavaliers, they don’t have anybody listed on their injury report for Game 5, as they have a fully healthy lineup for Wednesday night.

Cavaliers Starting Lineup For Game 5

Shortly before tipoff, the Cavaliers confirmed their starting lineup with a post on social media.

Donovan Mitchell, James Harden, Dean Wade, Evan Mobley, and Jarrett Allen were all named starters by head coach Kenny Atkinson and his staff.

This is the traditional starting lineup Cleveland has used in the playoffs when all of its players are healthy. In the past, they have swapped Wade out for one of their other wings, but this is the group they’ve consistently gone with against the Pistons, and it’s the five they are using to start in Game 5.

The Cavaliers are slight underdogs for Game 5, but a win would drastically shift the series back in their favor before Game 6 in Cleveland on Friday night.
