NEW YORK, NEW YORK - NOVEMBER 05: Anthony Edwards #5 of the Minnesota Timberwolves warms up before the game against the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden on November 05, 2025 in New York City.

The Minnesota Timberwolves are down 2-1 to the San Antonio Spurs heading into Game 4 of their second-round playoff series, and while they still face an uphill battle, the team will see Anthony Edwards play on Sunday night, as he isn’t listed on the injury report ahead of the crucial contest.

Edwards has been dealing with several knee injuries over the past few weeks, specifically a bone bruise and hyperextension in his left knee, which he suffered in the Timberwolves’ previous series against the Denver Nuggets.

However, while Edwards had been listed as questionable in other games in Minnesota’s series against the Spurs, the star shooting guard had no injury designation heading into Game 4.

Timberwolves Announce Anthony Edwards Injury Update For Game 4

GettyMINNEAPOLIS, MINNESOTA – APRIL 25: Anthony Edwards #5 of the Minnesota Timberwolves celebrates his three-point basket against the Denver Nuggets in the first quarter of Game Four of the First Round of the 2026 NBA Western Conference Playoffs at Target Center on April 25, 2026 in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Based on his injury status earlier in the series and his overall play through the first three games, Edwards doesn’t appear 100% healthy. Still, while the left knee injury he picked up in the Timberwolves’ last series might still be impacting his play, it wasn’t enough to land him on the injury report for Game 4.

While Edwards had been questionable for every other game in this series, he did end up playing in each. However, with that ‘questionable’ tag, the door was open for Minnesota to rule him out if something went wrong in pregame warmups or he wasn’t feeling like he could perform.

But heading into Game 4, Edwards isn’t listed on the injury report, all but confirming that he will play on Sunday night as the Timberwolves hope to not fall 3-1 against San Antonio.

But overall, Edwards wants to play for his team in these playoffs. He went through an extreme recovery regime heading into their series against the Spurs, and though he doesn’t look to be at 100%, that hasn’t stopped him from playing and putting together a few strong performances, though not all of them have led the Timberwolves to a victory.

The star was on a minute restriction through the first two games of the series, which came just a week and a half after he suffered his scary knee injury against the Nuggets. However, in the Timberwolves’ Game 3 loss, he played a postseason high 41 minutes, so while he might not be fully in the clear with his injury, it doesn’t seem to be impacting him as much now compared to earlier in the series.

According to Minnesota, Edwards is good to go for Game 4, a matchup they could desperately use a win in to keep the series within reach.

Minnesota Offers Positive Ayo Dosunmu Injury Update

GettyMINNEAPOLIS, MINNESOTA – APRIL 25: Ayo Dosunmu #13 of the Minnesota Timberwolves celebrates against the Denver Nuggets in the third quarter of Game Four of the First Round of the 2026 NBA Western Conference Playoffs at Target Center on April 25, 2026 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The Timberwolves defeated the Nuggets 112-96.

With the Timberwolves’ injury report for Game 4, the team announced more good news, as with Edwards, Ayo Dosunmu was not featured with an injury designation.

He missed the first game of the series with a lingering calf injury from the regular season, and played just ten minutes in Game 2 before exiting with right heel soreness. Dosunmu, who has seen an increased role with Minnesota since Donte DiVincenzo went out with a torn Achilles tendon, was questionable heading into Game 3, but ended up playing 32 minutes.

Now, while the full extent of both his calf and heel injuries isn’t completely known, he wasn’t listed on the team’s Game 4 injury report, as is the case with Edwards.

Minnesota @Timberwolves Status Report in advance of tomorrow’s Game 4 vs. San Antonio Spurs:

OUT DiVincenzo- Right Achilles Tendon Repair

Without their lead point guard in DiVincenzo, the two backcourt players of Edwards and Dosunmu become even more important for Minnesota. Both have been dealing with injuries over the past few weeks, but heading into one of the Timberwolves’ most important games of the season, neither is on the injury report or looks set to be limited in Game 4.

DiVincenzo is the only player listed on the Timberwolves’ injury report as they host San Antonio on Sunday. Minnesota snuck in a Game 1 win, but since then, Victor Wembanyama and the Spurs have looked like the stronger team.

Still, led by Edwards with much more collective playoff experience, the Timberwolves can even the series back up with a Game 4 win, coming on Sunday, May 10, with tipoff set for 6:30 pm CST and live on NBC and Peacock.
