Denny Hamlin drives during NASCAR Cup Series action at Pocono Raceway.
Denny Hamlin’s summer surge continued Sunday at Pocono Raceway.
The Joe Gibbs Racing veteran held off teammate Christopher Bell over the closing laps of the Great American Getaway 400 to secure his third consecutive NASCAR Cup Series victory. Hamlin entered the weekend fresh off wins at Michigan International Speedway and Nashville Superspeedway and he added another trophy to his growing collection at the “Tricky Triangle.”
The victory further strengthens Hamlin’s position as one of the hottest drivers in NASCAR as the regular season heads toward its final stretch. This is not only his third straight win, but his fourth of the season.
More updates, race statistics and post-race reaction will be added as they become available.
