Tigers Right Now

With their win on Saturday, the Tigers are now 17-17 in 34 games, which has them as the second-place team in the American League Central.

They are an outstanding 11-3 in the 14 games they have played at home in Detroit.

Following their series with the Rangers, the Tigers will remain at home to host the Boston Red Sox on Monday.

Evan Woodbery of MLive Media Group wrote of the team’s Triple-A lineup:Zach McKinstry is in the lineup, so it appears Gleyber Torres’ possible injury has not prompted the Tigers to accelerate McKinstry’s return to Detroit. McKinstry should still be back with the Tigers within a few days assuming all goes as planned.”

Torres played the first seven years of his career for the New York Yankees.

He made the All-Star Game in each of his first two seasons.

The status of Torres going forward will be something to watch.
