Bruce Buffer Discusses Bud Light UFC Summer Series

Bruce Buffer expressed his excitement for what promises to be a can’t-miss opportunity for UFC fans. Bud Light, the promotion’s official beer sponsor, is teaming up with the MMA leader for a summer of festivities.

A new platform called ‘Bud Light UFC Summer Series’ will debut and feature a total of three numbered events and two Fight Night events.

Whether fans are in attendance, watching at home, or even gathering with friends at a bar, there will something for everyone. Announced as part of the Summer Series is a Bud Light Summer Concert at Toshiba Plaza outside T-Mobile Arena on Jul. 10. There will also be limited-edition UFC packaging available at participating retailers, and co-created social content.

In addition, there will be multi-platform creative assets around the events that include custom social posts and a takeover of the UFC’s homepage. Fans in attendance can also expect to see co-branded arena cups and LED boards.

“These are things the fans can grab when you get a chance and you see an MMA notable or one of your favorite fighters, have them sign this. I’m a big collector of memorabilia and this will go up in value as the future goes on,” Buffer exclusively told Heavy Sports. “Bud Light’s been a champion of combat sports from boxing and of course now with UFC and mixed martial arts, they’re doing everything they can.”

From May through August, the following events will be included in the special summer series:

UFC 328 in Newark, New Jersey – May. 9
UFC 329 (International Fight Week) in Las Vegas, Nevada – Jul. 11
UFC 330 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania – Aug. 15
UFC Fight Night – TBA
UFC Fight Night – TBA

Bruce Buffer Describes What UFC Fans Can Expect

Bruce Buffer also described what fans can expect during this special ‘Bud Light UFC Summer Series.’ The promotion’s shift to streaming on Paramount+ and simulcasts on CBS has allowed it to attract a broader audience.

Buffer encouraged fans to enjoy themselves and attend events. He said Bud Light’s commitment to the fan experience will ensure the Summer Series delivers.

“[Fans] are in store for incredible fights being planned. We already know some of them that are out there. Listen, anytime you get to a UFC [event] on a normal basis, it’s an incredible experience,” Buffer exclusively told Heavy Sports.

He continued:

“All this stuff happening before the fights and around the fights, the fan experience is something I don’t know of any other sports that provide this,” Buffer said. “I’d be like a kid in a candy store enjoying everything. I’m a fan first, an announcer second. I’m probably the biggest UFC fan you’ll ever meet in your life.”

Buffer Express Gratitude for Being Bud Light Ambassador

Buffer has enjoyed his own experience with Bud Light since becoming a brand ambassador last year.

The longtime UFC announcer expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to participate in the brand’s campaigns and commercials.

“It’s great to be an ambassador for them and it’s great to see what they’re doing because I always say that the fights are not about me, they’re about the fans and the fighters,” Buffer exclusively told Heavy Sports. “It’s about delivering as much entertainment to the fans and enhancing the moment as much as possible. And that’s what Bud Light does.”
