The Browns have brought in Jalen Reagor for a tryout.

The Cleveland Browns opened rookie minicamp on Friday in Berea, and among the tryout players on the field was an interesting name: Jalen Reagor.

Reagor was not reported as a tryout player ahead of camp but was on a list shared out by the team at the start of practice. He’s the oldest player in attendance.

Reagor, now 27, was selected by the Philadelphia Eagles with the 21st overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft out of TCU. The Eagles took Reagor one spot ahead of Justin Jefferson and the pick has been one of the most notable misses in recent draft history.

The Eagles traded Reagor to the Vikings after just two seasons, getting back a seventh-round pick and a conditional fifth. He bounced between the New England Patriots and the Los Angeles Chargers, spending the better part of three seasons on practice squads.

Over six NFL seasons, Reagor has 86 career receptions for 1,037 yards and four touchdowns in 64 games. His most significant role in the league has come as a return specialist. He returned a kickoff 98 yards for a touchdown for New England in 2023.

The Browns have never shied away from taking chances on veteran former high draft picks in search of a reset. With the receiver room still taking shape around two rookie additions, Cleveland appears prepared to explore every possible option at the position heading into camp.

Browns Picks Boston and Concepcion Hit the Field

The main focus of rookie minicamp in Berea is the debut of the Browns’ two highest-drafted pass-catchers in years: first-round pick KC Concepcion and second-round pick Denzel Boston.

Concepcion, selected 24th overall out of Texas A&M, posted 61 receptions for 919 yards and nine touchdowns in his lone season with the Aggies.

Boston was taken 39th overall out of Washington. He appeared in 43 career games for the Huskies, totaling 132 receptions for 1,781 yards and 20 touchdowns.

Boston described the Browns’ new receiving duo’s potential during draft weekend.

“We’re going to bring a good mix of explosiveness and having explosive plays after explosive plays,” he said. “Both of us have generated tons of touchdowns throughout our college careers.”

Browns Banking on Jeudy Bounce-Back

The arrival of two rookie receivers only adds to the scrutiny on Jerry Jeudy, who enters next season in a make-or-break spot.

Jeudy was a Pro Bowl receiver in 2024, setting a Browns franchise record with 90 receptions and posting 1,229 receiving yards. But 2025 was a significant step back. He finished with 50 catches on 106 targets for 602 yards and led the league in drops.

Monken, however, has publicly backed Jeudy. In a sitdown interview with ESPN’s Kevin Clark, Monken named Jeudy as one of the players he expects to take a significant step forward in his first season running the Cleveland offense.

“I think we are going to be able to get Jerry Jeudy back to two years ago,” Monken told Clark. “That’s not a leap. But that’s a re-leap.”

Part of Jeudy’s struggles can be linked to the unstable quarterback situation. The Browns cycled through three signal-callers last season — Joe Flacco, Dillon Gabriel and Shedeur Sanders — in what was one of the most dysfunctional passing offenses in the NFL.

With Boston and Concepcion still learning the system as rookies, Jeudy remains the most experienced option in the group heading into OTAs.
