On Sunday night, the Denver Nuggets will play their final game of the 2026 regular season when they visit the San Antonio Spurs in Texas.
The Nuggets are coming off a 127-107 win over the OKC Thunder (at home).
Nikola Jokic did not play in the game.

UPDATE: The Nuggets won by a score of 128-118.
For Sunday’s game, Jokic will be back in action.

Jokic will also make incredible NBA history when the buzzer sounds.
ESPN Insights wrote: “Nikola Jokic is entering the final day of the season leading the NBA in rebounds per game (12.9) and assists per game (10.9) 🔥
He is set to become the first player to lead the NBA in RPG and APG in a single season.”

Jokic is in the middle of his 11th year in the NBA (all with Denver).
The three-time MVP has averages of 27.8 points, 12.9 rebounds, 10.9 assists and 1.4 steals per contest while shooting 56.9% from the field and 37.9% from three-point range in 64 games.
Bennett Durando of The Denver Post wrote: “One key reason Nikola Jokic sat out Friday but traveled with the team to play tonight instead of other way around: Nuggets-Spurs was moved to national TV (ESPN) earlier this week, making Nuggets subject to a Player Participation Policy fine if Jokic and Jamal Murray both rested.”

Jokic once again has the Nuggets as one of the best teams in the NBA.
They are the third seed in the Western Conference with a 53-28 record in 81 games.
The Nuggets are also in the middle of an 11-game winning streak (and 25-15 on the road).
The NBA wrote: “Jokić gets loose 🔥 Denver can clinch the 3-seed in the West with a win tonight! DEN/SAS tips off at 8:30pm/et on ESPN 🍿”
Last season, the Nuggets lost to the Thunder in the second round of the 2025 NBA playoffs.
They have been unable to return to the Western Conference finals since winning the title in 2023.
Jokic and the Nuggets will have an excellent chance to make a deep run this season.
